On this episode of Jeff and Aaron's DVD Extravaganza we look back at the career of actor Roy Scheider who past away on February 10th, 2008 after a battle with cancer. Roy Scheider's acting career spanned more than 50 years. He appeared on many television show and was in numerous motion pictures including 2 of the American Film Institutes 100 greatest films of all time. These two films were the French Connection (#93) with Gene Hackman and Jaws(#56) the Block Buster film directed by Steven Spielberg. Jeff takes a look at Roy Scheider's movie career from the 70's thru the mid 80's then examines his move to the small screen in the 1993 Sci-FI TV Series Seaquest DSV. Jeff also reviews his favorite Roy Scheider Film "Blue Thunder" which starred Malcom Mcdowell, Daniel Stern, Warren Oats, and Candy Clark. He must do this before 5:00PM in order to save the life of his 8 year old daughter who has been kidnapped by a group of jewel theives that believe the young women in the mental hospital knows the whereabouts of a gem stolen by her father and them 10 years earlier.
