Wed, 29 August 2007 With the start of the 2007-2008 football season just days away, Jeff take a look at one of his favorite football films " The Replacements". Not one of Keanu Reeves more notable films, this movie stars legendary film actor Gene Hackman as a football coach who hires a misfit group of replacement football players when the leagues professional players go on strike over a salary dispute. Keanu Reeves plays ex college quarterback Shane Falco who missed his chance at the pros after a humilating defeat at the Sugar Bowl. Given a second chance, Falco leads this misfits group of players for the Washington Sentinels to victory in the remaining games of the football season. Along the way, he falls in love with the beautiful head cheerleader of the Washington Sentinels, played by Brooke Langton . This is a feel good movie for the entire family.
